Glenn Karisch
Glenn Karisch concentrates his practice in estate planning, probate and trust law. Glenn provides quality, caring and personal service to his clients. He is known as a "go-to" lawyer, not only for traditional estate planning, probate and trust services, but also for unusual and difficult trust, planning, administrative or litigation problems. Many of his clients are referred by other probate lawyers around the state because of his acknowledged expertise in handling out-of-the-ordinary cases.
Glenn is certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Glenn is the past chair of the 8,000-member Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Glenn has followed probate, guardianship and trust legislation and published a legislative update for every Texas legislative session since 1997. Since 2005 his analysis of new legislation has appeared in O'Connor's Texas Probate Code Plus and Texas Estates Code Plus. He has written on legal topics and spoken extensively at advanced legal education courses for attorneys on estate planning, probate and trust topics. Topics include modifying and terminating trusts, problems with multi-party bank and brokerage accounts, drafting estate planning documents which protect the surviving spouse, disclaimers, and understanding and implementing the Uniform Prudent Investor Act and the Uniform Principal and Income Act. He is the owner and sponsor of The Texas Probate Web Site (texasprobate.com) and the Texas Probate email mailing list for attorneys. He also serves as mediator of estate and trust disputes and as an expert witness on estate, probate and trust issues.
Glenn is past president of the Board of Trustees of the Austin Waldorf School, where his four children were educated. He is the former chair of the Austin Bar Association's Estate Planning and Probate Section and he has served on the boards of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas and the local chapter of the National Committee on Planned Giving. He and his wife, Suzanne, are members of First United Methodist Church of Austin.

Julia Jonas
Julia Jonas is board certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Julia works with clients on their estate planning, including wills, trusts, partnerships and other types of gifting. She enjoys working with individuals and families of all kinds to find the right structure to address their specific needs, such as guardianship for minor children, custom trust provisions, estate and generation skipping transfer tax planning, family business issues and unique assets. Julia also focuses on estate administration and trust administration, representing individual and institutional fiduciaries such as executors, administrators and trustees.
For many clients, preparing an estate plan or participating in a loved one’s probate process is the first time working with a lawyer. Julia strives to make the client experience pleasant, efficient and straightforward.
As Glenn Karisch's daughter, Julia comes by her interest in estate planning honestly. She lives in East Austin with her husband, Isao, their two children and their dog, Brownie.

Melissa Harvey
Melissa Harvey helps individuals and families with estate planning strategies ranging from simple wills to complex trusts. Melissa represents executors and administrators in a variety of probate matters, including helping clients probate wills in various counties around Texas as well as helping them with determination of heirship matters when a person dies without a will. She works on cases involving family disputes over estates, trusts and incapacitated relatives. She has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1994 and has been focusing on the areas of probate and estate planning since becoming of counsel with the Karisch Law Firm in 2013. Melissa and her husband, Michael, reside in Austin with their two children.
